The 911 memorial Remembered and Labor Day just trying to catch up.

Get our breath back.

Trying to find the fun stuff.

Like the good old days

Bbqs and picnics and riding bicycles or horses.

Go to a movie that was at a drive in or movie theatre

Outside dances

Carnivals and farmers markets with pie eating contests or chili cook offs.

Watching the old time movies by Disney

The movie Pollyanna sharing about

Community and caring.

Add old Yeller Movie

And Black Beauty

Mary Poppins

And The sound of music

My grandaughter favorite

Was The happiest Millionaire with pet alligators.

And then

Throughly modern Milly.

And unsinkable Molly Brown.   

50 cents to go to the movies back then.

Happy moments chasing the ice cream man on our bicycles or roller skates or skate boards.

Yes, Pig they had skateboards and bicycles back then.

Funny Pig,

As she thinks I am old as

Methuselah that lived 969 years .

I kind of felt like that as I was in emergency room yesterday and

I said, As I was leaving for home I must look like Phillis Dillar a comedian in the 60s

As my hair was sticking all up.

I had a blank stare given back to me

I said that’s funny like Mini Pearl

That wore the funny hat with the price tag left on

And I got the same reaction

My son laughed.

They don't know.

I was raised with you.

The attendants and nurses said, Yes we are just youngins.

We don't know them.

So cute to respond back.

I realized for the first time

How many things are gone.

Gadgets and things we did or knew gone to modernization .

Even though the List of things remain.

Some coming back like

Record players and records LPs.

Who knows maybe the holla hoop too.

Bobby socks and full skirts.

The 50s prom dresses.

Fun thoughts.

Just to know this

These last couple of weeks GOD has been with you.

Even though you might feel it and not of known it.

HE has been holding you up.

Loving you and caring for you.

What GOD ?

Pig asked.

I quickly answered the one true GOD.

Creator of all things including you.

I started singing:

THE GOD who never fails.

HE is GOD on the platform

HE is GOD at the door

HE is GOD in the AMEN

I KNOW GOD

HE is the only GOD

that gave EVER GAVE HIS SON

HE IS THE GOD THAT

CANNOT FAIL.

HE IS.

Pig said, Is this the baby JESUS ?

With Mary a Virgin that JESUS was

Born without SIN.

Then THE Heavenly FATHER gave to Mary

to JOSEPH to be the step Dad who would help raise THE SON OF GOD

on earth.

HE was given but

not only to them

THE WORLD

to rejoice.

THE PROMISE GIVEN

That HE finally came.

TO TAKE AWAY THE SINS OF THE WORLD.

when JESUS

THE CROSS

for every SIN.

HE ROSE UP

FROM THE DEAD TO LIFE.

PRESENT

FUTURE

FORGIVEN.

By THE BLOOD that JESUS SHED ON THE CROSS FOR YOU AND ME.

Nothing more powerful than THE BLOOD OF JESUS.

Nothing more powerful than THE NAME OF JESUS.

She is so funny,

as well as fun to look at.

I stood looking at her smiling.

Her Big nose and black button eyes and ears that stick straight up at attention.

With a smushy body that is so fun to hold.

Pig looked up at me and said,

Is it Pancake time?

Yes, Pig.

I will get your pancakes ready in the cast iron skillet.

We always know that pancakes are always in the budget.

A little butter and syrup.

Some milk and fruit or yogurt is

Fun to eat .

Breakfast or lunch or dinner.

Always, Joy at each meal.

Pig asked, while you cook for me,

Can you tell me a story?

Can you sing me a song?

Pig continued,

The one who tells me

HE LOVES ME and will NEVER

Tell me of the animals and how they loved HIM so.

Sing about the baby in the manger

And how HE LOVES ME SO..

Yes, Pig I can do that.

I use to put my children to bed like that

My daughter would ask me to do that and my grandchildren when they visited me.

I wrote those words that I would sing in my song that I would sing to them.

We would sing together or they would just listen.

As I tucked them into bed.

Away in the manger

Sometimes at Christmas time.

That sounds kinda mean

Pig and I know children  think it is funny.

It kinda sounds funny

I think in a strange way because it could never be real.

Poor Grandmother ..

I didn't sing that one.

It wasn't written at the time of my children when they were little.

Later, they sung that one too.

They Thought it was funny and they sang more songs as well as

in THE SNOOPY CHRISTMAS SPECIAL ON TV.

My children sang many songs

Including the songs above including Silent night.

We sang Christmas songs throughout the year.
