Pig Prays America, America GOD shed HIS grace on thee....VOTE
Updated: Oct 19
Good Morning.
Pig and I have been traveling and seeing America and its beauty and enjoying the Freedom to be able to travel.
We are home now.
In time to VOTE.
Inspired to have the peace in our heart and in our Lands and in our home.
The Peace that JESUS gives.
We look through HIS eyes
Seeing goodness and beauty.
Pig ask? How do you do that?
How do you see that?
Funny Pig.
I answered.
First you have to have
JESUS in our heart as your Savior and LORD.
Then, You are able to be
Loving one another as you are able to love yourself.
Using wisdom.
Showing mercy and forgiveness.
It's not just going to Church and
Saying the right things.
But living your life pleasing to GOD your CREATOR.
Being an example of kindness and showing mercy to one another.
JESUS who gives you your Salvation.
JESUS who hears you and your every prayer.
JESUS who sees you
and I mean HE sees it all and loves you through it all.
HE is with you.
Prays for you as your HIGH PRIEST,
intercedes for you to get you back on the right path.
HE sits at the right hand of THE FATHER
HE gives you
THE HOLY SPIRIT,
to comfort you and to live in you as HE gives you understanding of HIS WORD that you read.
So Pig you need to do what you always say.
When you have a question?
STOP
DROP
and
PRAY.
Then, as you listen
You receive the Peace.
And the stillness and the clarity of the direction you need to go or the things you need to do.
Prayer is always the answer.
Pig answers loudly,
Pancakes, Prayer and Praise.
Funny Pig.
I said.
Your belly cry's for Pancakes as well as Prayer and Praise.
GOD always knows what we need.
Pig agrees as she puts her had up and down.
As Pig Prays out loud again America, America GOD shed HIS grace on thee....
Amen.
VOTING IS ON HER Mind and mine too.
We are sending out our ballot today.
Check your state to see what is recommended to do. Ours says to send now by today.
However, as a get back to focus on GOD.
We start out our Day
First on GOD to get our mind on what is important FIRST.
To get us gong in the right direction for our day.
We start with
THE LORDS PRAYER.
Pig says this we me.
As she lifts her head up to heaven.
Then we begin:
Our FATHER who art in heaven
Hallowed be THY NAME
Thy kingdom come
THY WILL be done
On earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day
Our daily bread
And
Forgive us our Sins
Our Trespasses
As we Forgive those
Who sin and trespass
Against us
Lead us NOT into temptation
But
DELIVER US
From evil
For THINE IS
THE KINGDOM
and
THE POWER
and
THE GLORY
FOREVER and EVER
AMEN
AND
AMEN
We Pray
IN THE NAME OF JESUS.
Then Pig and I began to think about the carefree days past.
Do you remember when you went to school
and the bell would ring. You would stop playing on the play ground and then
You would go to your class and to your desk.
You would Put your lunch away.
And be ready for the roll call of each of our names.
Then we would turn to the flag that was in our room.
Including the Ten Commandments placed on the wall beside the flag.
Yes Pig, as she was interrupting me,
The Same Ten Commandments as in the Capital of United States and in the Congress building.
Then, we would put our hand over our heart with respect and honor of the flag of The United States of America.
We all in the classroom would say together
In reverence because we remembered what
Our Dads and Grandpas always taught us about the flag.
Someone in the family that was Military would of
taught us to say,
Thank you to all that was in uniform, military that we would see close enough to where we could say,
Thank you for your service.
As sometimes we had an opportunity to shake their hands and say, Thank you.
The same if a Veteran was wearing their hat with the many pins of honor received.
We would Thank them too and shake their hand.
Looking into thier eyes thinking what many things you had to do to keep us free.
Yes , Pig
A moment of appreciation of what they all went through that we will never know what they went through for us to be free we need to remember that. They did that for us all.
Pig would like to do that too.
Their response to the greeting has always been grateful that someone remembers that they served for you and me.
We always felt so good as children and now adults
That we could say Thank you for their service.
And shake their hand.
So when in our classroom it was an honor to say
The pledge of allegiance
To our Flag.
Not just at the ball games.
But in school too.
Pig and I are reciting the pledge of allegiance
now: So we never forget.
I Pledge Allegiance to the flag of the
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
and to the REPUBLIC
In which it stands.
One Nation under GOD
Indivisible
With LIBERTY and JUSTICE for ALL.
Pig and I got emotional
And said,
Amen.
Do you remember what you would do next?
Pig asked
I replied,
Yes.
The Teacher would have a Patriot song book in each of our desks
of many different songs that we would sing from.
She would tells us which one or a student would ask could we sing this one?
The teacher would comply at the request.
Then we all began singing.
It was fun to sing together.
This gave us pride in our Nation and in ourselves that we as citizens of America could enjoy the freedom that was given to us.
In The movie
Peggy Sue got married
Reenacting what she did in high school in a movie that woke her up in a dream she thought to a different time to re live her life again in high school. She went back to school and
the choice the teacher gave to sing was the song
My Country tis of thee.
I remember that song.
We sang that song a lot and I knew the words.
In the Movie Peggy Sue sang loudly and proudly
So loudly that children laughed as she was so happy to sing it.
Pig and I are singing it now.
Full Lyrics
Verse 1
My country, 'tis of thee,
Sweet land of liberty,
Of thee I sing;
Land where my fathers died,
Land of the pilgrims' pride,
From ev'ry mountainside
Let freedom ring!
Verse 2
My native country, thee,
Land of the noble free,
Thy name I love;
I love thy rocks and rills,
Thy woods and templed hills;
My heart with rapture thrills,
Like that above.
Verse 3
Let music swell the breeze,
And ring from all the trees
Sweet freedom's song;
Let mortal tongues awake;
Let all that breathe partake;
Let rocks their silence break,
The sound prolong.
Verse 4
Our fathers' God, to Thee,
Author of liberty,
To Thee we sing;
Long may our land be bright
With freedom's holy light;
Protect us by Thy might,
Great God, our King.
Listen to a lyric video rendition of the song to hear how the words fit the traditional melody.
Utube it..
Oh, Pig to go back in time.
To really enjoy the simple things we took for granted.
Besides the gas and food and house prices.
The fun of just going to the park and riding our bikes and going to the drive-in movies.
5.00 a car load.
Or 50c to the theatre.
While thinking of the past the things I miss.
The milk man the ice cold real bottles of milk and gallon of REAL ICE CREAM butter and more.
The Homes bakery truck that delivered donuts 5c and 10 c and bread for 25c
Riding our bikes and roller skating on the sidewalks and streets.
Riding our skateboards and going to the park to swing and play on all the things there to play on.
To have picnic on green grass and rolling hills you could roll down.
It was so much fun.
The musicals we had at school.
When we could actually sing real Christmas songs
And the funny ones too,
Make short plays and w all had such a great time.
But we knew the difference of real and pretend.
We all Thanked GOD for
THE CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS SPECIAL on CBS. December 9th 1965.
The confusion of Santa and The baby Jesus in the manger that was explained to what the real Christmas was with Charlie Brown and snoopy and the whole gang.
The special aired annually until year 2022 when it aired on PBS last time.
They don’t have it planned to aire it again now but I think they should.
How easy to forget what is real and what is important not only for children to have clarity on what Christmas is but also to be reminded to know who they are as United States citizens and have respect for the flag and this Nation.
And what it was founded on.
GOD and Country and a Republic if we can keep it.
Per Benjamin Franklin.
To remember those that served AMERICA and still serve this Nation and died for her so we can be FREE.
GOD BLESS AMERICA
OUR HOME.
It's not perfect Nation by far but we are FREE.
And if we try as citizens and unite to be a NATION that wants to do good not evil.
We would have great power.
A Nation with common sense.
A Nation that honors one another.
A Nation that doesn't focus on our differences but discuss calmly our differences and still remain friends.
Pig Prays again America, America GOD shed HIS grace on thee....
I say Amen to that.
So today is a time to get registered to vote.
It’s not to late.
If you are 18 years old VOTE.
If you are a 100 years old VOTE because you know what happens when you don’t .
VOTE the way you know would make AMERICA
GREAT AGAIN.
Vote as if GOD was by your side and HE is.
Vote for the children that are coming behind you
To live in the AMERICA you VOTE for.
If you nothing ?
Nothing gives Nothing?
This is your chance FOR YOU to make a difference.
It’s your AMERICA too.
Be BRAVE and KEEP AMERICA FREE.
Pig says she wishes she could vote.
It is ok Pig you vote through me.
She smiled .
It’s time for Pigs fluffy wonders as my sister would call them.
Pig just calls them GOOD and hot and yummy.
With syrup and butter sometimes
With jelly or yougurt and we add fruit on the side because my Mother always said if you eat bread foods you must have fruit or vegetables too.
Fruit it is with Pancakes and real butter and ice cold milk.
Good for any meal.
We do have them for dinner sometimes.
Pig likes it when we do.
So today count our blessings
In Lamentation 3:22-26
GOD who made you
Says your mercies are new every morning.
At the end of the day Pig and I have counted our blessings and it is many more than one.
Have a happy day.
From
Pig GOD and Me
