Oh, Give Thanks to THE LORD for HE is GOOD

We just started reading Psalms 107-150 and a focus on Psalm 136 Utube that and be inspired.

I watched Pig as she sat in wonder as THE WORDS OF GOD were read to us both by one of the Utube channels reading The Book of Psalms 107-150 and we re- listened to Psalm136.

Problems can distort our prospective.

In these verses GOD invites us to comfort and direction by HIS WORD.

To keep our eyes and ears on HIM.

When we do Faith comes.

Relief comes.

Pig asked, When does the Joy come?

Pig, that is a good question.

Why do we think we have to do everthing ourselves ? Pig asked.

Thats a Good question too, Pig.

When we try on our own with all our strength without being still and asking GOD for Direction? It doesn't always work out so well and we get more tired doing everything

ourselves.

rayer and GOD seems to be the last on our mind.

But when we do?

Joy comes to fill us with Hope and Faith and a direction that GOD sends to our minds.

By placing these words to read and hear.

Pig thats when the Blessings Comeand the JOY.

The verse that says Psalm 30:5

For HIS anger endureth but for a moment:in HIS Favor is life; Weeping may endure for a night, but JOY cometh in the morning. King James version.

Joy comes when we Pray and give it all to GOD and trust in HIM.

How long does that take to get what we need? Pig asked.

Oh, Funny Pig. Thats a question that we all wonder about and wait to know.

The answer is this Pig.

GOD is never late and never early.

HE is always right on time.

Not our Time but HIS TIME.

Who can understand the Mind of GOD.

HIS ways are not our ways. Isaiah 55:8

So what do we do in the meantime as we wait?

And Pray?

Well Pig, you know what I do.

We CAN JARS of things we have or Dry things in the food dehydrator.

Today we are going to water bath can.

You are not giving me a bath are you?

No Pig, just the fruit and vegtables that are so easy to do.

Ok, Pig said.

What do you do first?

First you do have to have jars.

Mason jars the best with lids.

That can be your new request for Birthdays gift suggestions,

or events ask for jars and lids.

A Food dehydrator too.

On line 59.00 or? and what an investment have to use to dry delious bananas and fruit like apples to slice and give later as treats.

Or any vegtable to dry and make soups.

What a blessing to do and have to share with others when someone is in need.

Pig asked how do you do it?

The Direction Pig is simple.

You just wash your jars by hand or dishwasher incuding lids and let dry on a clean dish towel.

Then slice to any size to what ever you have and Place in a bowl.

Plug the dehydrator and place all your cut vegtables and fruits on your trays.

How long does it take?

Pig asked. I said It depends ?

Maybe a day maybe two.

I just check it now and then and keep turning it back on for a few more hours.

YOU SET THE TIME.

You just let it dry for you on the 6 trays on my food dehydrator.

I have jars of dried fruits of all kinds that have been given to me or bought in the reduction bags at the grocery store.

The bruises or dark bananas are sweet and chewy better than candy.

You don't waste anything in your refrigerator.

You can it or dry it.

It's so fun as my new hobby and blessing.

To give as gifts or to have when you need it.

Today we will can tomatoes the kinda flat tomatoes called roma tomatoes.

This is fast and easy.

Get your tomatoes washed with the good water not the tap water.

Just cut the ends off or cut them if you want to?

Put them in a big pot using your purified gallon jugs of water enough to cover whatever amout you have.

Season them for spagetti or chili or just salt they are your tomatoes to do what you want.

Cook tomatoes 25 to 30 minutes.

Season to taste.

If your tomatoes seem bitter add some sugar or honey you choose the sugar you want.

Get your jars out and line them up on the counter it's also good to have a funnel it makes less mess.

Dip in your cooked tomato pot and fill your jars before the twist part of the jar, its about one inch from the top.

Wipe the lid of your jars off after you filled them all up.with a clean wet towel. You can also use vinegar to dip a corner of your little towel in as a habit for future canning.

Put one tespoon of lemon juice in each one and put lid on.

You can use tap water now if you want.

I use my gallon size bottles of water and I re use to keep canning in it.

I put a tablespoon of % 5 Vinegar in the pot of water to keep the jars clearer outside.

IF That is the only big pot you have like me. I wash it all out and fill with water putting a dish towel at the bottom so jars don't touch the metal bottom.

I also put a cloth napkin in between so the bottles don't touch each other.

I fill as I can up to the neck of jar. you won't need much because the jars keep the water higher in there.

So you do need to keep an eye on it with hot water in the tea kettle to add water to your pot if it gets low in water.

Boil for 40 minutes.

Let the jars hang out in the Pan or until its cool enough to take out for you to set your jars on another towel.

I cover them as they adjust to room temperature change.

When you hear pop and pop and pop.

Pig loves that sound.

Me too.

Your jars are sealing themselves.

You can buy lables or make them with your family as an art project.

Then tape what it is and what date you made it.

Check the next day to see if all lids sealed?

If not ? I cook it again, re wipe the lid with vinegar and make sure lid is put on right and REMEMBER ONLY FIGURE TIGHT.

Just enough on the lid to close it not overly tighten so air can escape as needed to seal.

Thats why I use the puified water so no other water gets in there I don't want.
