Good Morning Valentine where have you been?

Pig and I are starting our day with the thoughts of Valentine’s Day that has long since past.

Pig asked, What happened to Valentine’s Day anyway?

Did we celebrate it?

What is it really?

Well, Pig the official day was made a long time ago

When love letters and cards were sent to one another.

The people back then didn’t have internet and I don’t think they had phones either.

Pig look at me in amazement of no technology for

Communication.

But Pig they still had love and affection for one another. There were strict courtship rules in the day.

Back then and the need of Proper introductions.

But Love will always seems to find a way.

There is Love in your heart for one another appreciating the beauty of one another in goodness and kindness.

Physical beauty of course that Attracts one another.

Like me ?

Pig said.

Funny Pig .

I replied .

You are beautiful to me and many others not because of your beauty or wit but because of your love for GOD who created the universe and all that’s in it.

You are what GOD wants us to be reflecting HIS LOVE in us and to others.

Sharing THE GIFT that he gave us.

What Gift is that ?

Pig asked.

The Gift of HIS LOVE and FORGIVENESS through HIS only SON

JESUS CHRIST.

The promised MESSIAH from HIS BIRTH in a manger

In BETHLEHEM The city named Bread.

Brought forth THE BREAD OF LIFE and forgiveness to us all.

Pig asked,

HE likes Bread?

Yes Pig but more than that HE would like your Pancakes too.

HE said, I AM THE BREAD OF LIFE

WHOSOEVER PARTAKES OF ME WILL NEVER

DIE.

When he said this message and later fed the multitude of people with two Breads that he multiplied.

But to the Many that followed HIm

HE Said this was to hard to understand.

They thought HE was saying to chew on HIM

and live for ever .

That JESUS explained

THE WORDS HE SPOKE

AND THE PROMISE GIVEN TO MANKIND

TO FORGIVE ALL SINS AND TO BELIEVE IN HIM WOULD GIVE YOU ETERNAL LIFE.

It is kind of a humorous story but a serious one

When talking about your choices in life.

And What to believe.

Pig do you remember the story on The SIMSONS?

When Homer Simpson in the cartoon was tricked by the Devil and because he was a sore loser to Marge who ended up rescuing him. The Devil turned Homer into a donut because Marge outsmarted the Devil to get him out of hell.

When Homer was safely home,

Homer kept nibbling on himself.

His wife Marge said to stop it .

His response was, But Marge, I am so delicious .

Funny and sad at the same time as The Devil is tricky and deceptive to TRUTH.

At last the donut body of Homer was finally gone

By the love of his wife.

I remember that episode Pig said, not that you let me watch that TV show much.

The chapter on John explains it all.

That is why it is so important to read your Bible.

Pig asked, How did JESUS rescue us?

HE died on a cross. Suffered for every SIN ever

Committed by you and me.

Pig said , Every SIN?

Yes Pig.

Past

Present

And

Future.

All people

All ages

Anywhere that says to JESUS

I BELIEVE IN YOU

FORGIVE ME OF MY SINS

COME INTO MY HEART

LIVE IN ME

I WILL LIVE FOREVER FORGIVEN

AND BE BORN AGAIN INSIDE

WITH A NEW HEART

A NEW MIND

A NEW DIRECTION

A NEW PROTECTION BY THE VERY HOLY SPIRIT

THAT ROSE JESUS FROM THE GRAVE ON THE THIRD DAY.

Pig asked, The moment you say come into my heart

JESUS , Live in me, The Holy Spirit of GOD Lives inside me to keep me safe and brand new inside.

Yes Pig.

And Writes your name in HIS BOOK OF LIFE.

So Pig asked?

What HOLIDAY is it that we remember this great work of GOD?

I replied,

It is what we call EASTER.

Pig responded.

Is this about the bunny and chocolate ?

No Pig.

It is about new life that GODS Only SON

that HE gave to us when HE ROSE UP FROM THE GRAVE.

THAT ALL WHO BELIEVE WILL NOT PERISH BUT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE.

Pig asked is it still ok if I have chocolate.

Funny Pig.

Of course Pig .

Rejoice in this GREAT thing that GOD of The universe of all creation has done for us.

So we can be with HIM again pure and good

Like in the beginning garden.

Pig answered except not naked right?

Right Pig.

He will give us white robes in heaven.

Revelation 7:9

No worries Pig .

Thank goodness.

So how does Valentine’s Day tie into all of this?

Well, Pig sometimes we forget how much GOD loves us.

Sometimes we forget how much we are loved by family or others like friends and neighbors that don’t mention how they feel or appreciate you on any certain day.

Just like way back then when beautiful art was made into Valentines to give to one another showing affection.

The time spent making it.

The time spent on thinking of that special person.

The special time to deliver it.

Pig that is a lot of time of love and affection waiting to be acknowledged.

That was and still is beautiful act of love.

Some give candy.

Some give roses.

Some give pictures on their phones.

But THE GREATEST VALENTINE OF ALL

is GOD who made you.

Actually thought you up.

Your eyes and your voice and your DNA

HE KNOWS YOU.

HE LOVES YOU

And

HE wants to be thought of and LOVED BACK

And appreciated too.

How can we do that?

Pig asked.

First Pig is not to forget what

HE HAS DONE FOR US.

That is to remember CHRISTMAS AND EASTER

EVERYDAY.

PRAY to HIM.

HE LOVES HEARING YOUR VOICE.

GIVE THANKS.

Share what’s on your mind.

Remember HE IS YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER

ABBA - DADDY.

You are HIS CHILD no matter how old or young you think you are.

When I asked in the beginning of our story

Where are you Valentine?

HE reminded me HE was there all the time.

That because I was having pain and difficulties

I did not seek HIM like I usually do.

HE reminded me in Prayer

That HE WAS THERE ALL THE TIME.

HE was pulling me through daily by HIS right hand.

ISAIAH 41:13.

and

In the book of Deuteronomy 31:8

Look that one up.

You go before me and behind me.

You are always with me making the pathway clear for me.

So we rejoice in this day GOD has given us.

Walk in HIS FORGIVENESS of our shortcomings.

Pray and GIVE THANKS

Like we do in THE LORDS PRAYER.

THATS how we do it Pig.

Ready Pig?

As she look up at me what are you doing or saying now?

I said again, in a joyful voice,

So Pig, Are you ready to celebrate

VALENTINES DAY WITH ME?

Yes Pig replied.

And then Pig made her requests known.

I would like heart shaped pancakes with heated syrup and butter .

With strawberries and ice cold milk in my little cup.

That’s sounds perfect Pig.

I want to sing songs too.

Ok Pig sounds like a fun day I told her.

As I set her up to the table expecting good things.

Pig and I would like to pray Blessing to your day too.

Every day can be Valentine’s Day .

To be able to say and do special things for each other.

A note or a call or a flower in your yard.

That never grows old and always appreciated.

Each day is given special for you today .

No gaurentees for tomorrow.

So live each day as if your last .

Hug and kiss the ones you love,

As you walk out the door for school or work .

Make a call or a text to brightens someone’s day.

Kindness is always remembered .

Always remember YOU are LOVED.

Even though you might not feel it.

YOU ARE.
