Good Morning,

Our First Blog to you tells the story about Pig.

We thought we would start at the beginning on how Pig and me started writing together and where did she come from?

This is her story.

We had just bought a home in Lake Arrowhead and we were all excited the children and I were going to have an open house for all my friends and Realtors that

I worked with to come to our new home to celebrate and I needed to get some pretty things to add to the house before they came.

I went down the hill to the store I called the big M store we all shopped at .

As I was going through the store I saw this large display from floor to ceiling of stuffed pink pigs quite the eye catcher as I saw one pig barely hanging in there that needed to be pushed back in .

So, as a good customer I thought I could help and as I did she fell into my arms and then made me laugh.

I said ok this must be a sign and I will buy you and take you home as my new gift to myself for our new home.

Then I thought about it if she made me laugh maybe it will make my children and husband laugh too.

So, as I was thinking of a plan as I was playing with her throughout the store

On how I could use this pig to create joy and fun.

I know if it is given to one the other would want it so it became mine.

She would live in my room.

I could make stories with her to share with the children as my imagination was on overload of fun thoughts.

It was time to check out at the register and I continued to enjoy the pig and made her like a puppet turning her head around to look at the cashier as she tried to maintain her composure as I said to look at her and don't you think she looks real?

She smiled politely and said yes as I noticed I embarrassed her to agree.

So, I reeled myself in and said

Thank you.

I had a Little bit of a drive as I gathered my thoughts on how to present her to the children as I thought about how they would react.

When I told them that this was my pig and she is going to stay in my room.

As I opened the door,

then they saw pig.

I said this is my new pig as they both laughed

What her name ? Pig I answered as

I told them.

Good name they said smiled slightly as I took her upstairs

The children followed me up one at a time and wanted to see her and hold her and I then explained to them she will be able to tell you stories.

They asked

How can she do that?

In a voice that only children can do.

I answered,

As She tells me.

And then I will tell you what she says

And they both laughed and said so we can't hear whet she says

No I said only me.

And at that both the children laughed again and knew that this would be an adventure with pig and they were going to hear a lot of stories and have some adventures .

And they did.

The children would hide her and play with her but she would stay in my room.

When they were sick they would ask me to have pig sleep with them that seem to give them both comfort it just work out that way for both of them .

As many stories would be told one day they asked where did pig come from?

And I told them that she came from France and she was a French pig and she was manufactured there and stored in a big warehouse above a dance studio. Pig was lucky because she could see out of the top window they had open for air and she could look down there and watch them dance. Pig was there for over a year as she was waiting to be shipped to America and then to California and everyday she would watch the ballerinas practice and dance.

She said to herself one day I would like to have a family to live with that will love me and some day be a ballerina.

That was her dream.

Everyone you know she said should have a dream.

So, when I found her in my arms that started her dream.

As I shared the story the children

They were moved with compassion and their imagination too and then shared with the Dad an idea to do.

They surprised me as they all went out shopping as the Dad played along and had been listening to the stories told to the children they enjoyed and he thought this would be fun to do too.

So they wrapped up two gifts.

One a ballerina out fit called a tutu and it was bright pink and the ballerina slippers with straps to stay on her feet that were pink too.

Then we all decided as they were wrapping her presents this would be her birthday party.

So I got some pillows to set her up at the table to balance her a place on a chair and a place setting was set and a cup cake muffin with a candle was presented to her as we sang

Happy Birthday to pig .

I know it sounds funny to do this but it was so fun and brought so much joy she had started to become more real as more stories were told and it didn't seem so unusual to have pig around.

And then to sing and open presents as the children opened them up for her as they each tried to help each other pressing her smushy body into a tutu and actually forming a real body as much as possible for a stuffed pig and then the shoes and she was complete.

As the light glistened reflecting the light from her eyes she almost looked real at times as we all noticed she looked like she came alive and seemed happy.

I spoke for her of course sharing her great joy for making her dream come true.

As I expressed her love for each of us and how thankful she was for us to be together as a family.

I told them that more stories are coming and more celebrations soon as we got closer to celebrating Christmas.

A beautiful holiday with Joy of the season and the real reason pig now would be able to share it.

Like The CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS MOVIE and then pig could also share

How GOD came from heaven to earth in a earth suit of a baby born in the town of Bethlehem to a Young Mother named Mary and the step Dad name Joseph that would raise JESUS they were chosen both from the tribe of Judah and Pig would share how JESUS would be the one to show us the way to live and be free from our sins when he grew up at 33 years old.

And HE would lay down and be raised up on a cross and give his life for us

Because of HIS GREAT LOVE FOR US.

And then rise again from the dead which is The story of EASTER

There are many movies to share

The Story of Jesus.

The movies like:

THE GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD

KING OF KINGS

JESUS OF NAZARETH

and then

THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST

however you should be at least 13 years old to see that one.

To real to see that much suffering and I am told very close to what it was like when Jesus died and then rose again.

Pig knew you needed to hear true stories too.

I told her that if you believed the story about JESUS and you said in your heart that JESUS was the son of GOD and asked him into your heart.

Ask forgiveness of your sins that you could be saved from your sins and live for HIM your name would be written in heaven and you would live forever with him.

John 3:16 whosoever believes this

Will have eternal life.

You will be changed and see life in a clearer way.

It's Amazing!

You become CHILDREN OF THE LIVING GOD.

Pig was excited about it and sad at the same time I asked her why ?

She said I don't have a heart.

No problem pig.

I have one for you. I showed her my plastic play necklace that had a big heart on it.

She asked me could she have it?

I told her yes.

I opened up her stitching right then and put the necklace and heart inside her chest and sewed her up.

We sang the song when Jesus came into my heart.

Then we laughed again.

Feeling complete she asked JESUS into her heart.

I know she is a stuffed pig but her love with me and you and her love for JESUS well you just never know.

Since Pinocchio is her favorite story other than the Bible.

Pig story was run in the Mountain Newspaper in Lake Arrowhead I gave Harry the owner a one time serial right go run her story across the country with so many sharing her story with lots of newspapers.

Harry said she got a lot of hits.

But I wasn't ready to write then

Working everyday raising a family

I just wasn't ready until now.

With almost 40 years of stories to tell.

Like this one of her first picture taken at Christmas by my brother Bill, while I was sleeping she was my surprise to see Pig up to the table with a big piece of Cherry pie. It's our favorite! So, that was the picture used in the News paper that ran to tell her story.

I am ready now to share with you all.
