Pig .

As I was looking at Pig in her new night clothes she received in the mail.

She looked so cute and she seemed very serious trying to understand the way that we celebrate

Christmas as she already knows what the true meaning of what Christmas is.

And if you don’t know about

GOD who created the entire universe and everything in it as HE sent HIS SON JESUS

to the EARTH that HE MADE

to be born as a baby in the womb of a virgin

Teenager named Mary engaged to a man called Joseph.

They were both of the bloodline and of the tribe of Judah.

HIS BIRTH FORETOLD even from the beginning of time.

Remember Pig?

The first book of the Bible in Genesis?

You know.

Pig looked at me funny as I said all that in one breath.

Pig then responded, You mean the story about being In the garden of Eden when the first man and woman were made?

Named Adam and Eve and they made a mistake and didn’t obey GOD

and they SINNED?

Yes Pig .

I Remember, Pig said.

They could not stay there because they were tricked by the devil and ate from the tree of knowledge.

The other tree was the tree of life.

They can not stay there to eat on the other tree

Because they now have a fallen nature not perfect anymore and they can’t stay there less they stay like that forever.

That’s right Pig.

GOD knows what to do for us as

HIS CHILDREN.

To heal us, our mind body and Soul and Spirit and establish his GODLY wisdom within us .

With the guidelines of GOD here on Earth for us to KNOW to succeed and to understand all our choices have consequences.

Good or bad .

What does that mean exactly Pig asked.

If you do bad things Pig

You will be punished.

You may think you are getting away with it sometimes.

But your Sin will find you out.

Everything done in the dark will be brought to the light eventually.

Better to say sorry which means to repent

And not do it again.

It’s out of love for your children to correct them.

You decide the punishment level as a Parent of your child.

A spanking ? Sit in a corner ? Take away dessert ?

No TV or phone.

You know what is needed to help your child get back on track.

To do good not bad.

Oh, Pig said .

So that is why they were taken out of the garden?

Yes, Pig.

GOD knew the punishment they needed

And HE told them a Savior would come to rescue all of mankind.

Now they were taken quickly out of the Garden with

Angels now guarding the entrance now and forever

And then GOD placed skins of animals to clothe them and now separated from

GOD the way it was before then they knew they needed a Savior.

They just didn’t know when HE WAS COMING?

When would it be ?

When would it be to bring them back to the relationship of purity and honesty they had with GOD before they sinned.

It would take a long time But they didn’t know that.

Pig, do you realize they actually walked and talked to GOD in the cool of the day.

It must of been amazing to be in such a beautiful place with the animals that Adam named.

To hear GODS VOICE and Walk with HIM.

WOW, what a thought ..

GOD was sad that HIS children didn’t listen but it was not a surprise to GOD.

ALWAYS KNOW THIS:

NOTHING WE DO IS A SURPRISE TO GOD.

HE KNOWS IT ALL.

HE IS ONIMPOTENT.

HE IS ALL KNOWING.

HE SEES IT ALL.

HE HEARS YOU.

HE KNOWS YOUR NAME .

HE KNOWS YOUR VOICE .

THE VERY HAIRS ON YOUR HEAD ARE NUMBERED BY HIM.

HE KNOWS YOUR THOUGHTS BEFORE YOU THINK THEM .

HE KNOWS YOU.

HE LOVES YOU.

HE MADE TIME AND IS ABOVE TIME

HE SEES THE END FROM THE BEGINNING

HE IS THE ALPHA AND THE OMEGA

HE IS ALL POWERFUL

HE CAN BARA WHICH MEANS :

HE CAN MAKE SOMETHING OUT OF NOTHING.

HE SPEAKS AND CREATION BEGAN

AND

HE IS THE VERY ESSENCE OF LOVE ITSELF.

MAGNIFICENT AND BEAUTIFUL THAT SURPASSES WORDS.

HE already had a Plan to rescue us from our SINS

from the beginning of time.

So as the title to this story today

Is it TRUTH or TRADITION?

That is an interesting question Pig.

Pig replied, Yes to me and HE said, YES.

I said that makes sense to me .

Which is a food trough. Pig that was for the animals

OUR KING was placed there in the most humble place to be born a KING.

The animals were there and saw it all.

Mathew 2:10 Says there was a star of Bethlehem

Christmas morning that shone from above.

This is the star that the wise man followed to find

I love this story of CHRISTMAS and EASTER

Pig said.

As she lowered her head in a Thankful heart.

I was still for awhile as we both were grateful and gave Thanks.

Then I asked Pig, How are you going to express your tradition to celebrate this TRUTH

and

THIS STORY CALLED CHRISTMAS?

THE BIRTH OF CHRIST ?

Pig said

With a big smile.

She said,

I celebrate it with a Birthday party.

Pig continued,

I make a little Birthday cake with a candle on it

And then I sing

The Happy Birthday song.

Happy Birthday to JESUS .

Every year we choose who will blow the one candle out as we say Thank you for coming to save us.

I love that tradition

I said.

However,

Before we sing do you remember what we read first ?

I asked Pig.

Yes, Pig said.

We read the story in the Bible in the book of

Luke 2:1-20 out loud for all to hear.

Then,

We Pray and Give Thanks again.

Then,

We sing and eat cake with great joy.

I responded to Pig .

Yes , that is exactly what we do.

Then we open presents later.

We make the day last as long as possible.

Pig asked,

What have you done in your past Christmas

With your children ?

Before I came to live with you.

Well, for breakfast after we Prayed and gave thanks for the day.

Our children would have beef stick from

Hickory farms was our special treat.

I used to fry it in slices and dip in apricot sweet and sour Sauce.

Then we had a Variety of Cheese ballls and crackers

Relish trays and breakfast meats and eggs

And cinnamon toast..

What is that ?

Pig asked.

I replied,

It is white bread covered with real butter with white sugar on a cookie sheet

And then sprinkled with cinnamon and then broiled in the broiler oven until it sizzles and seems cooked enough and then we are careful to watch it so not to burn.

It’s so yummy but it has to cool and that’s our tradition.

We also ate that when I was little and only at Christmas time with my Mother and family.

When we moved later and

When we lived in the mountains,

We had on our very tall tree 14 foot tall to reach almost to the chalet ceiling we had a ladder and placed popcorn balls on it and wrapped cookies and small little fuzzy bears wrapped as gifts to give and wrapped snickers and payday and Hershey bars and candy apples that hung on the tree.

I added more to the tree as it got closer to Christmas.

As missing candy appeared to be eaten..

Funny..

And then wrapped butterfingers and other treats as my older sister liked ding dongs on my tree because it reflected the lights on the tree.

That was her favorite .

I would buy her a box just for herself and added them to her tree too.

That time of year she seemed she was always in the hospital. That always made her smile to have a box of those chocolate foil wrapped wonders.

Our tree reflected gifts we could afford to give when people came over and it’s always nice to be able to give something.

There was a gift they could have as a surprise.

It was always so

Fun to say, Go ahead and Pick something off the tree.

That Always got a big smile and it was fun for everyone.

That sounds fun. Pig said.

I said, It was.

My other sister started the tradition serving of egg rolls with her Christmas dinners.

When I brought some out for one of the Christmas

Times we had together.

Other Christmas times were with my Brothers family and we would stay for a week .

We all would gather at the ranch in Wickenburg

With foods and fun of just being together.

Some knew about what Christmas was and some didn’t .

We were glad to be together and just shared the love to one another in the true Spirit of CHRISTMAS.

My other sister she was so funny as she was a able to eat so much ham and rolls and we were so amazed

She never gained a pound even though she had to unzip her pants to breathe. Then laugh so hard

As she would say that was the best ham and made us all laugh too.

Then, when we moved from the mountains and we had to leave our 14 ft huge tree not real but looked like it.

We moved down the hill and to the flat land again.

We started having the big celebrations at our house

On San Diego Ave in Riverside California.

We invited neighbors and family and clients and people we knew or friends of friends.

It turned out Big and fun.

Singing and Karaoke and telling stories when we

Served the food it was homemade food only was a rule.

However some things snuck in.

Rolls and breads.

I made over 40 pies all kinds of them myself and I had plenty to share.

Fun for everyone to taste the different flavors and take some home too.

We had others who brought all kinds of desserts too and meats and tamales and dips and casseroles.

All home made.

Then later as it grew dark outside we would sing songs out there by a fire pit outside

by the pool and the day lasted into the night of great joy of just being together.

We Creating new memories.

And shared

The old stories of our family that were no longer with us.

Were shared Bringing the good memories of Christmas past and

Singing their favorite songs missing them .

Embracing each other for comfort as someone then had another story to tell.

We would record on video and would also take pictures to remember too.

Pig said that sounds like a lot of memories .

Yes Pig, it was.

The Christmas every year was always an adventure.

Christmas Times are always changing.

But the message is always the same.

Blessings to you all and to remember and to cherish your memories .
