The story of the donkey that talked and more donkey stories in THE BIBLE

Good morning.

Pig and I are trying something new for breakfast.

We normally have Pancakes as you know.

Pancakes Prayer and GOD starts our day.

I was telling Pig when I was little we had Pancakes too.

However, oatmeal was a big deal to keep you full longer.

As a child you get hungry all the time.

Oatmeal seemed to be the food that worked.

My Mother always tried to make everthing fun.

She was like a real Mary Poppins to us as children.

She was always tring to make work a game.

Just like in THE MARY POPPINS MOVIE

To every job that needs to be done.

Find the element of fun.

and snap. Its a game.

We used that philosophy too, throughout our whole life and raised my children that way.

And of course having Pig helped me in that way. I helped you? Pig said.

Yes Pig. And Pig you still do.

As I continued my story.

So, Oatmeal was the challenge the food to change it up.

We had our table set as Mother thought pretty.

She included real cloth napkins and paper too. Sometimes flowers but they were almost never real.

Mother would include our doll dishes filled with sliced bananas and raisens and canned peaches and brown sugar and crisp bacon crumbled up and whole milk in our tea set pitcher to pour out.

Our Dolls set on the big table or sometimes our red folding table we got with our blue chip stamp books from long ago.

We would put our dolls mostly in our laps as it was made to be more fun to have them eat with us.

This presentation wasn't always done as time was a factor and just a fun memory shared.

When Mother felt good and no headache, it felt like it was a game of fun instead of just eating a meal.

We had cold cereal too.

But Mother, always had something in fun little dishes to make it more healthy.

Like cut up apples and bananas.

I love that Pig said, That sounds fun.

Pig said, Ok I am ready now.

Ready for what Pig?

Ready for your Oatmeal< she said

Ok, Pig I will get it started for you.

Today its an organic Bob's Red Mill gluten free MUESLI.

Oh no, Pig said. What have I have said, Yes to?

Stop it Pig.

It is going to be so good.

You are working yourself over a name you don't know.

I use to call my Mother this name with a loving endearment when I was a teenager. I called herMy Mueslic.

This cereal seemed to reflect the imagination and versitility of a cereal that was so good and flavorful and fun to eat.

Each bite a taste of something new.

That would be my Mother.

Pig said she must have been really fun.

I responded, She was.

The cereal has so many fun things in it and how interesting it was and so versable.

You can eat hot or cold with yogurt.

The Swiss way of eating is with grated apples with apple peels on it with yogurt soaked in the cereal overnight in the refrigerator.

Wow, Pig you could make a commercial for them.

Funny Pig.

If My Mother was here she would do it.

How long does it take to make this new wonder breakfast? Pig asked.

Minutes Pig, and then a short simmer.

Is It ready Yet?

Yes Pig. Here you go?

Where is my flower?

Funny Pig.

So you want Mothers' table setting?

Yes. Pig said, I want to feel like a Princess.

If I were a boy, I would say a Prince.

Ok Pig.

Here You go Pig, an entire basket of flowers just for you.

Thank you, Pig said.

Pig then plunged her nose into her cereal.

As a note pigs eat their food different then you and me.

Yep, she said, I like it.

Perfect, now I will tell you the story of the talking Donkey.

Pig smiled, as she continued eating.

In The Bible there were times that you did not hear THE VOICE OF GOD.

The hearts of the people were cold and indifferent.

GOD used PROPHETS to minister to the people.

I don't understand the choice of GOD regarding this PROPHET.

He was selfish and always wanting more and more of everything.

He worked his donkey very hard with no regard much to his beast of burden.

The donkey always did what his Master said, with no complaints.

I know this because I will quote later what the donkey will say as Balaam as he is beating him.

However, how do we EVER understand the mind of GOD.

Pig responded with cereal hanging off her nose and said, You can't.

So true Pig, I said.

As I continued my story to her.

There was a wicked King Balak King of The Moabites who wanted The Prophet Balaam to curse The People of THE LORD,

The Jewish Nation.

The wicked King Balak could see the blessings of GOD on them.

The wicked King couldn't stand it.

So he would request Balaam to come and curse them with Promises of large sums of money and tresures.

Everytime he would come to curse the People.

GOD would fill His mouth with great Blessings over them.

The King Balak was enraged.

He asked Balaam, Why do you do this to me?

The Prophet Balaam explained.

I start to speak Balaam responded, and THE SPIRIT OF LIFE FALLS ON ME.

Then my mouth speaks PRAISES TO GOD AND BLESSINGS UNTO THE PEOPLE OF GOD.

I just rejoice in THE WORDS OF THE LORD.

Then I speak them out. GOD will not let me curse them.

The wicked King was frustrated but he was still persistant and had hope with His will of him being KING BALAK instead of THE GOD OF ISRAEL That Balak and his will be done instead.

I don't think that would ever happen Pig said.

GOD IS GOD AND HE WILL ALWAYS BE GOD.

HE MADE IT ALL.

Hey Pig good Sermon, I said.

Thanks Pig said. Then Pig asked, now what happened in the story?

Time past and the wicked King Balak tried again with so much money and riches Balaam asked GOD can I please go?

I know You won't let me say anything bad against your people.

But Please, Please, Please.

GOD said NO.

Balaam continued and then GOD said don't say, Not one word more then I tell you.

Balaam agreed as he packed up his donkey to not only carry him but his treasures back with him with.

It says that THE LORD and HIS ANGER was KINDLED against Balaam.

What does Kindled mean, Pig asked?

Many meanings Pig, but mostly to set a fire a flame,

a blaze to stir up, to aroused, to excite, the anger of THE LORD.

NUMBERS 11:6 and 11:1.

Not good Pig.

But Balaam was oblivious to GOD and HIS request NOT TO GO.

And with only a limited permission to go up to see the wicked King Balak.

Balaam's thoughts were just himself the benefit for what he could have which was only

Money.

No care of The love of GOD, or HIS WILL BE DONE or HIS PEOPLE.

NUMBERS 22:21-39 to read from the BIBLE yourself to verify the story of the talking donkey.

So on the way up to the mountain of the wicked King.

Balak had his two servants of the Moabite officials with him following them as they led they and directed the way.

The road path described was narrow and along the grapes planted along the way there.

There were rock walls there for the grapes.

Think like the Grand Canyon and narrow, steep paths that if you don't stay on path correctly with your donkey death could follow.

The road narrows and the the donkey sees the ANGEL with a flaming sword ready to cut the head off of his Master.

So the donkey slows down and Balaam is beating the donkey and yelling at him to go.

The donkey would then go very slow leaning into the wall along the grape vines and now hurting Balaam's foot was injured as he continued yelling and beating him.

Finally they were so close to THE ANGEL OF THE LORD.

The donkey just set down and would not move.

Balaam was so enraged as he yelled at the poor little donkey and then,

THE LORD OPENED THE MOUTH OF THE DONKEY

The donkey spoke.

What have I done to you to make you beat me theses three times?

Why are you beating me?

Haven't I always been a good Donkey?

Balaam so enraged speaks back to the donkey. Not realizing the donkey is talking to him.

As Balaam responds, You have made a fool of me!

If only I had a sword in my hand, I would kill you right now.

The donkey said to Baalam"Am I not your only donkey, which you have ridden this day?

Have I been in the habit of doing this to you?

"No,He said"

JUST THEN

The eyes of Balaam was opened.

Balaam dropped to his knees then his face to the ground.

The ANGEL OF THE LORD SPOKE and said,

Why have you beaten this donkey, your donkey these three times?

I have come here to opose you because your path is a recklace one before me.

The donkey saw me and turned away these three times.

If it had not turned away,

I WOULD HAVE KILLED YOU BY NOW. You were spared.

Realize this,

I would of killed you if your donkey had not stopped you.

Balaam Prayed TO THE LORD

Balaam Repented and said, He was sorry.

I will not go.

Now THE LORD said GO.

I will tell you what to say.

Balaam now did as THE LORD COMMANDED.

He went to see the wicked King Balak and told him ahead of time I can only speak with what GOD of HEAVEN and EARTH CREATOR OF ALL THINGS tells me to say.

The wicked King Balak was not convinced as he heaps treasures to him and maybe another place on the mountain top could be in better place to curse THE CHILDREN OF GOD WITH.

So, the wicked King brought Balaam to another Place better to curse them with.

Then with a good view with all the people peacefully living in the valley below,

This looks like the perfect spot.

The wicked King decided.

Then Balaam spoke and it was the most beautiful of ALL Blessings upon them.

Then the King said, I can't stand it.

He asked Balaam, can you not say anything to advise me?

Balaam referred back to the morals may weaken by the Jewish men and how that you could entise them with your daughters and thier ways that will bring them down through marriage.

But as BALAAM SAID To the wicked King BALAK.

AS TO THE LORD WHO LIVES FOREVER I CAN NOT CURSE THEM.

I don't know what happened to Balaam.

I don't think it was very good.

All I know that the advise of Seduction and Sin worked as the plan given by Balaam to the wicked King Balak and the Moabites as thier daughters intermarried with the HORRIBLE practices of BAAL.

Another story will be The story of RUTH a Moabite and how she was married into the house of the LORD.

The famous quote. Ruth I :16 -17 She would not leave her Mother -in Law.

( We really need to stop the jokes about Mother In Laws the love you can form with one another is amazing Ruth is an example of that.)

RUTH REPLIED DON'T URGE ME TO LEAVE YOU OR TO TURN BACK FROM YOU.

WHERE YOU GO I WILL GO

AND

WHERE YOU STAY I WILL STAY.

YOUR PEOPLE WILL BE MY PEOPLE

AND

YOUR GOD MY GOD.

WHERE YOU DIE I WILL DIE

AND

THERE I WILL BE BURIED.

MAY THE LORD DEAL WITH ME, EVER SO SEVERLY, IF EVEN DEATH SEPARATES YOU AND ME.

The great love shown to her Mother in Law by a Moabite.

The true and living GOD became their bond.

They destroyed the Nation and the morals of the people by the plan given but

Always remember there is always a remnant that will follow GOD.

Ruth is an example of that.

GOD can begin again with goodness and honor and RESPECT TO THE WORD OF GOD.

Walking obediance and reverence and mercy,

Read the whole chapter of Psalm 117 to be encouraged and to be Blessed.

Ruth is an example that through what was meant for evil GOD can turn it around.

JEREMIAH 29:11

Ruth is in the lineage of OUR SAVIOR and LORD. She marries Boaz and has a baby named Obed.

Obed son was JESSE who BECAME THE FATHER OF DAVID.

KING DAVID You know the the one that killed the GIANT became A man after GODS own heart.

1 Samuel 13:14

If we can't not adhere to the simplest of rules given by GOD.

WE NEED HELP.

Even the simplest rules to follow THAT ARE GOOD THAT GOD GIVES we seem to fall as well, too.

GOD knew we needed a SAVIOR.

GOD ALWAYS HAS A PLAN.

HE KNEW WE NEED HELP TO LIVE HERE. All ages children and Teenager and college age and everyone in between. Aunts uncles cousins sisters brothers,

The Grandfathers, Grandpas, the Grandpys and the Nanas,

The Grandmothers and Grannys too.

All included need JESUS.

GOD SENT

HIS only begotten SON that whosover would beleive in HIM would be saved. JOHN 3:16

SAYING, YES to JESUS I surrender all.

LIVE IN ME.

FORGIVE ME OF MY SINS.

BE MY SAVIOR.

IN JESUS NAME.

AMEN.

Find a church that doesn't add or take away from THE BIBLE

Find a church that doesn't give you a NEW BIBLE changing THE BIBLE

THEN BE Safe in THE WORD OF GOD.

BEGIN YOUR JOURNEY.

Read Revelation 22:18-19 and Deuteronomy 4:2

Just to make sure you know do not add or take away from the BIBLE

It is Protected BY GOD.

Get a King James is good as well as a paralell Bible to see that its all saying the same thing.

Pig and I can hardly wait for each new day to find something new.

GOD IS NOT BORING.

HE IS AN ADVENTURE.

We will be celebrating Palm Sunday this Sunday.

I will tell you another story Pig of the lost donkeys tomorrow and how a simple task that was given by his Dad to find donkeys that changed his life to BE a KING OF ISRAEL.
