Good Morning

Pig and I have made the small dollar size Pancakes My Mother would make us.

They were a little bigger than the silver dollars.

That was real silver dollar money in those days.

Is that how it got it's name? Pig asked.

Yes, I said.

They had PANCAKE HOUSES all over the place that we could go to.

FOXY'S in LAS VEGAS with an AMAZING CHILD Menu that looked like a FOX.

INTERNATIONAL HOUSE OF PANCAKES with all the flavored syrups.

UNCLE BEN'S PANCAKE HOUSE on E STREET IN SAN BERNARDINO, CALIFORNIA WITH 10 FLAVORS OF SYRUPS and SAMBOS RESTAURANTS AND TIGER BUTTER

AND

THEN DENNYS AND THEN MC DONALDS TO DIP PANCAKES IN A TRAY AND DRIVE AND GO.

The excitement of eating out and being affordable to do it.

We didn't think that there was anything bad in there with hidden chemicals and presevatives.

We just trusted all THE FOOD MANUFACTURERS THAT IT WAS GOOD and had FUN Memories Doing it and Eating it.

SO MUCH FUN, WE WANTED TO DO IT AGAIN.

Just like Coffee back then and Pancakes and milk all a reasonable choice for breakfast.

The syrup was mostly corn syrup Pig.

We didn't know that what they served in Restaurants was made from what they made in the factories OTHER than from the Trees that GOD made with REAL Maple syrup from REAL Maple trees.

If we did know all about it?

It didn't seem to be a problem since corn syrup was represented as good for you.

Is that how Maple syrup got its name?

Yes, Pig.

That is why my Dad liked LOG CABIN SYRUP.

It was so cute too sitting on our table in a small tin cabin painted on with an easy way to turn the metal cap to pour it out.

THEN, MORE COMERCIALS WITH AUNT JEMIMA PANCAKE MIX

TO MAKE AT HOME WITH A SYRUP BOTTLE MADE LIKE A DOLL OF HER.

Later with my children Pig, I found some doll aprons and wrapped around the bottle to put on the table.

THEN MRS BUTTERSWORTH COMMERCIAL'S SHE TALKED,

and we had to have her with us too.

Another big bottle of syrup that was a big glass doll filled with syrup with an apron on her too.

We tied the cloth apron on her so AUNT JEMIMA could have a friend that had an apron on too.

So fun, Pig said.

It was like Pig Heaven with all those Pancakes on the table.

Oh Pig, It even got better before we knew of the chemicals and the corn syrup we had BOYSENBERRY SYRUP FROM KNOTTS BERRY FARM and STRAWBERRY AND BLUEBERRY SYRUP TOO.

WE NOW HAVE THE INFORMATION OF WHAT WOULD BE A HEALTHY AND TO HAVE INFORMED CHOICES.

Now we shop at SPROUTS Here and if you were out West you would have TRADER JOES.

WE READ LABELS NOW WHEREVER WE GO.

NOW TO HAVE ORGANIC PANCAKE MIXES AND WITH CHOCOLATE CHIPS MIXES AND SOME WITH BLUEBERRY in it and ORGANIC SYRUPS NO CORN SYRUP.

LOVE IT , I SAID.

Pig agreed, shaking her head up and down.

OUR ADVENTURES DIDN'T END.

OUR ADVENTURES BECAME MORE EDUCATED.

When we go out I bring my own butter and syrup.

MOST restaurants don't have real butter.

IT IS SO FUN TO BE OUT BUT YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFUL WHAT TO ORDER.

Pig said KEEP IT SIMPLE.

I replied, You are right Pig.

Just like in life you have choices to serve GOD or NOT?

OR NOT?

One of MY DAUGHTERS FAVORITE CHRISTMAS MEMORY AFTER READING THE CHRISTMAS STORY IN LUKE 2:1-20

A BORROWED PALM TREE FROM MY SISTER KATHERINE AND A SMALL PIECE OF GOLD GARLAND PLACED CAREFULLY ON IT AND ONE RED BULB THAT WAS TO BIG THAT WEIGHED THE PALM BRANCH DOWN.

IT WAS THE PERFECT PICTURE OF THE SNOOPY CHRISTMAS.

18.00 was all I had to spend at the 99c store and with one paper roll and one tape.

I FOUND IT ALL ENOUGH TO MAKE A FUN CHRISTMAS.

PANCAKES AND FUN WITH SPECIAL MEMORIES.

BOTH CHILDREN REMEMBER.

MOTHER WOULD COME TO STAY WITH US IN DAYS AND THEN PLAYING THE PLAYER PIANO AND SONGS FROM OUR PAST MADE THE CHRISTMAS SEASON COMPLETE.

HE WAS BORN BOTHBEING MAN AND GOD.

BORN OF A VIRGIN

HE HAD NO SIN.

HIS PARENT IS GOD THE FATHER

THE HOLY SPIRIT COVERED THE VIRGIN CALLED MARY THE EARTH MOTHER THAT WOULD ALWAYS BE CALLED BLESSED AMONG ALL GENERATIONS.

AS SHE WAS CHOSEN OUT OF ALL BORN ON THE EARTH TO BEAR THE SON OF GOD AS WELL AS JOSEPH.

THE STEP DAD TO RAISE HIM IN THE TRADITIONS OF THE JEWISH NATION.

HE WOULD BE CONSIDERED A MAN AT 12 WHICH IS THE BARMITZVAH,

STARTED TEACHING AT THE TEMPLE THAT ONE TIME AFTER HIS CELBRATION AS A MAN/CHILD. ( BECAUSE HE WAS LEFT BEHIND BY HIS EARTH PARENTS)

THEN JESUS WOULD START HIS MINISTRY AT THE CAANAN WEDDING AT 30 YEARS OLD UNTIL HE WAS 33 YEARS OLD WHEN HE ANNOUNCED,

HE WAS THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD.

HE WAS SENT BY THE PLAN OF THE FATHER IN HEAVEN AS THE PERFECT LAMB TO TAKE AWAY THE SINS OF THE WORLD.

THE RELIGIOUS LEADERS DID NOT BELIEVE EVEN THOUGH SOME DID.

THEY HURT HIM AND BEAT HIM AND PUT HIM ON A CROSS TO SUFFER FOR YOU AND ME.

WHY YOU ASK?

BECAUSE OF HIS GREAT LOVE FOR YOU AND ME KNOWING YOU NEEDED TO BE RESCUED.

SO YOU COULD GO TO HEAVEN .

HE DIED AND SURRENDERED UP HIS SPIRIT SAYING, HIS LAST WORDS " IT IS FINISHED."

HE ROSE OUT OF THE GRAVE ON THE THIRD DAY.

HE SHOWED HIMSELF ALIVE TO HIS APOSTLES AND TO MORE THAN 500 PEOPLE.

HE WENT UP TO HEAVEN SAYING IN THEIR SIGHT AS HE ROSE UP INTO THE CLOUDS

" I WILL BE BACK."

HE IS ALIVE FOREVER AND SITS IN HEAVEN AT THE RIGHTSIDE OF GOD.

ANYONE WHO BELIEVES IN JESUS AND THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS THROUGH HIM

WILL BE SAVED.

EASTER IS THE STORY OF SALVATION BY SAYING YES, TO JESUS IN YOUR HEART AND BELIEVING IN HIM WHO DIED FOR YOU TO GIVE YOU EVERLASTING LIFE WITH HIM BY ASKING FORGIVENESS OF YOUR SINS.

SAYING, I BELIEVE IN JESUS AS MY LORD AND SAVIOR.

That was fabulous.

Pig smiled.

I said,

As Pig looked at me with her funny warm face and smile,

I agreed with her.

I went straight to the kitchen to my black cast iron skillet and started mixing the pancakes up as the pan was heating.

Pig was happy and me too.

Just in anticipation of MORE good things to fill this day.
