Pig asked GOD For HOPE and stories to remember

Good Morning

Pig and I have been resting and healing from the

Funniest things.

To going out to breakfast and biting on a bone

Should of stuck to Pancakes.

Pig agreed.

Then multiple dentists visits with a pain that kept coming back.

Did you know you can bruise a bone in your jaw bone biting on a bone?

Then the same week step on a dog bone as I was walking out the door and pulled a ligament and could barely walk .

The joke for the next couple of weeks by my Doctors and family was to stay away from all bones.

Then the HOPE for no more pain was finally relieved .

Only to take a trip up North to see redwoods and Houses and Bridges and beautiful lakes and trees.

Pig do you remember ?

Yes.

Pig said,

“We saw deers in the yard that it was like walking on a 2 acre park with all kinds of oak and Pine Trees which was the house you wanted to buy. But that would mean you would leave Texas.

I am glad you didn’t get it.

I miss the deers though.”

Pig it is ok. I am glad you are comforted.

But then when we left to go home the huge rains came it was dark out in the canyons and at 65 miles an hour we actually saw a deer running in front of us

Missing other cars but our Truck caught her and she was no more.

So sad and scary at the same time.

Pig and I prayed for the deer Peace and Thanked GOD we were alive.

And then Continued the best we could praying with HOPE we could make it to the next town

And we made it.

We Spent the night in a hotel and

It was my Birthday when I woke up and the nice tow truck driver

Told me stories all the way home it was a 6 hour tow

Trip.

We had Starbucks hot chocolate for breakfast AND The tow truck driver shared his corn muffin that tasted like custard at his special shop he went to for breakfast.

It was a wonderful present to start my day with.

Then 4 hours later a cheese burger and milk for lunch at the IN and OUT BURGER.

Pig said .

I remember

I ate the fries with you and catsup and had one of the little bottles of ice cold milk which is my favorite.

Then Pig and I and the Grandpa were

ready for another story from our Tow truck

Driver.

We ask him questions as more stories came

About cooking tamales and his grandmother

And how hungry for a taste of all that good cooking.

Me too .Pig said.

He would show us the Memorial of James Dean.

The last road he drag raced on.

As we continued driving sitting high up to see more than you could normally in a car.

Look that up about who James Dean is.

He was an Icon and a famous movie star.

That later found JESUS.

The teens loved him.

Our Tow truck driver shared what was growing along the Highway.

Artichokes and cabbage and cotton.

Then he share as we passed by

A story of a famous little Pie Cafe that was closed down by the new highway cutting off the entrance .

The Grandmother that made each pie herself.

People who drove by would always buy a Pie or two .

Over 30 years opened and now closed down.

Many are still Praying and Petitioning to the

HOPE of the Pie shop will re open again.

Pig is looking at me.

She loves pies too.

Someday Piggies Pies and Pancakes was our dream to do.

Pig asked so what kind of prayer?

The Prayer Pig is :

That the highway department will grant the entrance needed to stop in again to the cafe to bring the fun memories of years gone by.

Why do you ask Pig?

I said.

Because when we Pray and believe you receive by asking exactly what you want.

Mark 11:24

I replied that’s true Pig but add according to

GODS WILL.

1 John 5:14-15 says, “And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to HIS WILL he hears us.

And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.”

Pig responded.

I love to Pray.

We may not always know What GODS PERFECT

WILL IS?

I said.

And it is so fun to have your Prayers answered knowing that each prayer is heard .

Pig said, But it is More FUNNER when you get what you asked for.

Yes, Pig I agree.

You are so funny.

Pig smiled.

As I continued my story sharing stories of hope for a better day

With the truck smashed up and the headlight dangling now taped up to travel by tow.

We are almost home.

I arrive to a decorated room my Birthday cake and presents a hug and a kiss from my daughter.

So glad her Prayer of HOPE was answered that we all made it home safely.

A quick shower and in our bed for an early rise for an early eye surgery.

I put on an eye patch for Pig before leaving because she had to have one.

If it happens to me it happens to her. That’s just the way it is.

But if you think about it.

That is how it is.

In our Family and with our Brothers and sisters in Christ and neighbors and friends that care.

When one person hurts others hurt too.

Not in the same way but you feel it.

Never think you are alone in anything you do.

Just because you may be alone doing it.

What ever you decide it has consequences good or bad.

We all are in this thing called life together.

Are you sure ? Pig asked

Yep.

Another example:

My sister was a passenger in a car.

Pig said, and that means what?

I answered .

It means Pig she is not driving.

She had no control of the car.

The person driving walked away never to be seen to this day.

The car rolled over and threw her out and her baby

6 months old and She was 21.

She could not move.

Her only HOPE was to hear her baby.

There was no cry .

Then she finally heard him.

Her HOPE was not for herself but for her baby.

She had HOPE for her baby to raise him and take care of him.

She was almost longest living paraplegic that lived

For over 50 years . Pig is looking at me again.

It means you are paralyzed from the waist

down. She was able to finish college and

graduate .

She was able to drive her van with hand controls.

Go to the drive in Movies and took me with her.

She worked as a state rehabilitation counselor for the state of California.

She gave HOPE to the many that they could do it too.

We as A family helped raise her son.

He was a miracle baby with a miracle life.

And now a Man

Sharing Christ as His Savior and the gift of communicating with others.

His voice is fun to listen to.

The description of my Nephew would be a man with a great voice that has Charisma and delivered with a smile and a laugh with Sincerity and truth and truly an attitude of caring about each person.

A gift that was given to him.

And to his Son and now to his son who is under 12

Years old now .

His Grandpa job currently was to give

His HOPE to have a job helping others in what they need and being guided to aide to have whatever plumbing to be fixed In their home in or Commercially.

A Prayer of comfort offered and HOPE is ALWAYS given with a NO WORRY we will get it done.

HOPE shows up in different ways.

But it truly is HOPE .

That follows FAITH.

We now are at the successful eye surgery and on to

More Doctors appointments MRI

And Upper GI And scanning the stomach .

Then I get to a place where everything is hurting

My eyes both of them and my foot that acts up

Sometimes a hurt leg and teeth aching and my stomach always hurting unless I lay down with Pig.

Pig GOD And me together in Prayer.

HOPE COMES for a better day.

My stomach positions well laying down and then

You are just in bed eating your food

With Pig by your side .

Pig says, I like being with you .

I like it too Pig

But

The only walking you do is daily trips to the ladies room or to doctor appointments that you have to lay down in the car to ride to get there.

Is not fun .

But you made it fun Pig

Because you And GOD were always there.

It is Amazing that

Your strength that you take for granted has left you .

When you stay in bed all the time

Your HOPE for the future is wearing .

Then You Pray and Pray again.

GOD HEARS and ITS TRULY A MIRACLE.

I PRAYED with the TV AND THE NEXT MORNING

I HAD STRENGTH.

No pain in my stomach

My strength is renewed

I don't need the walker Anymore

I can lift my purse myself

I don’t need help.

I did do a lot that day and over did for a bit .

But felt GREAT.

I rested took it easy and then just days later came the UTI.

Wow. not enough drinking water.??

Back to the doctor’s Appointment and surgeon for test results. Yep it was a urinary track infection.

Called a UTI.

On top of that we discover I was

Needing some strong antibiotic that I received and was grateful.

However my faith is in my original surgeon to fix me back up for my body to be good was my HOPE to make me as new again.

Yes, Pig.

As I explain

GOD uses Doctors and Surgeons Medicine and diet too .

That can help heal and make you well.

Why do bad things keep happening to you Pig asked?

Because we live in a fallen World.

Sometimes GOD uses sickness for your faith or for you to learn something through your trial to make you stronger.

We are all walking through this life with lessons to learn Pig.

GOD is not going to waste anything even it is called Pain and suffering to help you have or use your faith to get through it .

HE is ALWAYS WITH YOU.

Remember that Pig .

Pig Repeats, Always .

Yes,Pig.

I said, Always.

Now we got through the UTI that is very painful .

Now it’s over and we are rejoicing to now wake up to an extreme COLD or Like a STREP throat .

And now constant coughing .

I can’t talk out loud on phone to my friends or Pray out loud .

So just rest with me and Pig.

That is what we did.

Our HOPE now is to get better again and enjoy the strength that GOD blessed us with days earlier.

My friends and Family are praying for me.

I Finally getting relief .

I get to go to my eye appointment to make sure all is well.

And it is.

And to meet a friend that we could finally talk to share my Birthday with.

And then ordering breakfast and eating Pigs Favorite.

I could not keep the food inside my body.

So my friend drove me to back to the Grandpas office where a couch was and fun fuzzy cover was provided until the work day was completed for his work and back home to bed again.

Was hope lost ?

Pig asked.

No Pig.

Just another day to learn something more.

TRUST GOD

REST IN GOD.

Send Bible verses out

Send Hope out to others.

Wait on GOD.

Think about stories in your life that GOD rescued you

Out of.

Healed you .

Or when you first met JESUS as YOUR LORD and

SAVIOR. John 3:16

A surprise check in the mail .

A grade you received higher than you expected.

A friend that prayed and lifted you up.

I remember a story about hope that

Mother would share she had so many of them .

This one was About HOPE

and she said even a simple face and attitude change like to

ALWAYS wear a SMILE to encourage others .

And When you ask how are you ?

To someone?

Be ready to LISTEN not just keep walking away.

I remember this one story that she told me about

LISTENING and when HOPE arrived.

Pig asked Well, what is it?

Tell me. She said, Please.

She said excitedly.

Funny Pig.

Here we go.

Mother said that she was told about a Young Mother

That had been left all alone to raise her children with very little money so she had some State assistance

Called welfare and food stamps and the case workers that would come by and check on her monthly.

She was a very kind woman who cared about all the children of the neighborhood as well as every dog and cat.

She open her house to them all.

Children that wandered after school and she made a safe place to be at her house as she cooked for them all to what ever she had.

Pig asked, And the animals too?

Yes, Pig the animals too.

She had TV for them and stories too.

Color books and balls to play with.

They would run through the house and bring thier bikes but would come there to stay with her and her children until dark when they all went home.

She was exhausted as she cared for her children too.

Clean clothes for them but the house was always an extreme mess.

Just terrible actually with trash piling up

but love was there and the caring for others but for herself she was poorly cared for and her house she was just at her limit.

The case workers never seemed to ask the right questions or able to help her .

Her case was transferred over and over again to try and help her to meet the standards they needed to help her to get to be acceptable .

She needed to clean inside her house.

What did she do?

Pig asked .

Nothing Pig .

She was sad and alone.

Alone with all those children and animals?

Yes,Pig .

You can still have all that and feel alone.

She had lost HOPE for change.

Oh, Pig said, Still not understanding.

Then one day a new case worker came.

The case worker didn’t know what to expect what she would see.

She knocked on the door.

The lady opened the door as the case worker saw the kindness in her face, her hair not really combed well.

As she greeted her and said, Come inside and sit down.

She set her at the table where it was clean in a wooden chair.

The case worker sat in the direction where she could view the house with her.

As she reviewed out loud all the nice things said about her in her paper file.

The case worker started to read parts of them to her

Talking about her caring of the other children in the neighborhood and animals and what a kind heart she had for them all.

She closed the file and then set it on the table

and then said, What can I do to help you ?

Nothing she said .

Her usual answer.

She waited for a few minutes just looking at her file and it seemed like forever with no talking at all.

Then with the most sincere earnest Question

The case worker said,

What can I get for you ?

You do so much for the children and the animals

And you tend to your children too.

She repeated,

What can get for you ?

As she continued,

I don’t have a lot of money she said but if it is reasonable I get it for you.

The lady looked into her eyes and with a little

Glimmer of response in her eyes.

The lady said, A pair of KITCHEN CURTAINS.

The case worker was surprised but gave no reaction

Other than ok.

What color ?

The lady said, I don’t care .

The case worker scanned the size of the window.

And then told her she would be back tomorrow and drop them off and then would see her again in two weeks.

The Lady said ok with not to much emotion because

She evidently had been promised things before that never came.

The next day came and the case worker handed her the BRAND NEW kitchen curtains and left.

Two weeks passed.

Time to come back to visit the Lady and her home.

When she knocked on the door the lady greeted her with a smile.

She was dressed and her hair was up and she looked great.

The case worker looked at the house and it was polished cleaned.

I mean like shiny .

The kitchen had no dishes the stove had no grease or pans on the stove. No dog hair on the walls or stove or floor.

No laundry or trash piled up.

You could actually see out of the windows now.

The smell in the house was fresh and clean as

The lady walked her to the kitchen area to show her the BRAND NEW KITCHEN CURTAINS.

The case worker was amazed as she asked

Her what this meant to her so she could explain it to help others.

The lady smiled.

As this was said back to the case worker with such excitement and joy.

I have not had anything brand new for a long time. She started saying to the case worker.

I have not had much hope as a person without having to much to make changes.

Only what I could do with the strength I had to help others from day to day.

When you asked What did I want ?

Something to think on.

I thought about it .

I never asked anything for nothing for myself before.

I always wanted kitchen curtains just

BRAND NEW for me .

You said ok and

When You brought them

I put them up immediately.

I sat there and looked at them .

Then one thing at a time I look around me with new eyes at my kitchen.

What can I do to make my kitchen honor those BRAND NEW KITCHEN CURTAINS it just took off inside me .

I wanted this kitchen and my house to match it.

Then I started getting dressed up every day.

I just felt better .

I started to have HOPE for change and a new Future.

That’s what happened and I want to Thank you

Them

She hugged the Case worker .

The case worker would continue to see her.

She would share the words

To LISTEN and to GIVE HOPE.

They both remained in encouragement to this day.

As the lady continued to help the children and teach them to pick up and to have order in her house

Her Kindness continued in a better way because

She now held HOPE and Order and Faith to have a better day.

And she shared that message to the children too.

So Pig that’s the story.

Hope Faith and Love for others.

I love it Pig said ..

As she rubbed her belly and said,

Those long stories always make me hungry.

Do you have any leftover Pancakes?

No Pig .

You ate them all.

Funny Pig.

But I will make you more.

In the black cast iron skillet with melted butter and warm syrup and ice cold milk.

We can eat them together and talk about more

Hope stories and for our future stories to share.

Pig thought that was a good idea .

Our stories of hope to get through it all.

And to know You are not alone.
