Happy Labor Day from Pig, GOD and Me

Good Morning and afternoon

Happy Labor Day

A time to rest or do something fun.

We are so late.

We picked up food early

To share with neighbors and we got to help a friend too.

A neighbor who fell down

bringing in her groceries in her home.

She is fine now.

A special Grandmother glad to be

up on her feet as she started to make coffee and catch her breath again.

With a Big a big smile that is contagious.

Enjoying both Pig and me as we smile too.

She is so cute.

A real Grandmother that cooks

and makes bread for her

children and grandchildren and even her dogs.

Pig said,

"What lucky dogs."

I asked,

What kind of bread was it today as I asked the

Grandma Sue?

We asked.

She replied,

“Sweet potato bread with walnuts and spices.

She said boldly.

Pig said, We would love a little bite of that ?

Yes,

Grandma Sue replied.

As Pig put her nose in it to smell the cinnamon and spices.

We both had a small bite.

Wow, Pig said.

Can you make pancakes like that ?

Yes.

Grandma Sue said.

Pig you could.

She said.

Just Put some mashed sweet potatoes and spices into your batter to fry up in the cast iron skillet.

We were both happy for the recipe and Then Grandma Sue said,

Thank you and come again.

do the Right thing even if authority says go another way.

And always seemed to get in trouble.

With those who needed a little help today.

And we got to help our new friend and Helped

Grandma Sue to get back up on her feet today.

Well, What about our story verse?

Well, Pig let us examine ourselves.

We always want to do good things.

Not do bad things.

By thinking we are doing good sometimes,

We also need to go by the rules

And laws of the land.

be good to ourselves as well

With a good conscience doing it.

Like Jimmy the Cricket in

Pinocchio.

As I was still talking.

Pig was glad I mention her movie favorite

As she continued to listen.

Do you remember every time he told a lie

Pinnocchio would watch his nose grow longer and longer.

And then he couldn't stop it.

grew leaves on the end of it.

So the mercy was given that day to him when the fairy came in the room and made the day with forgiveness and mercy and then the story for Pinocchio was wonderful.

GOD who is real and not just a story gives to us mercy too.

Forgiveness.

And

a second chance to begin again.

With good Intensions to be more careful next time by saying truth instead of exaggeration that turns to a lie.

that's what GOD does for us and even more by changing our hearts.

There is a lot of things going on

Kinda like now.

This or that in the news or

People's health or jobs or food prices or crazy weather

HE WANTS you to be STILL and not be deceived

By distractions but to

LISTEN

AND

FOCUS ON GOD

so ........

YOU CAN HEAR

TRUTH.

And not to Fear.

Pig asks again.

What is TRUTH?

I answered.

TRUTH IS IN THE BOOK CALLED THE BIBLE

EVERY WORD THAT

GOD SAYS IN THERE

TO US IS TRUE.

We REST in it.

We Walk in it.

We hear it.

And

We believe it.

That Pig

Is Called FAITH

And

PEACE to your SOUL.

Then you can sing

GOD IS WITH YOU.

Lord and Savior

And HE will be with you forever

This is Our 911 call to GOD.

When we need help and direction.

It is the prayer to PRAY.

And then we are doing what will makes HIM

SMILE not Cry.

And HIS DESIRE IS TO

HELPS US

GIVE US REST LIKE PSALM 23 with

Refreshing to our soul and Spirit.

When we PRAY HIS WORD

HE HEARS HIS WORDS BACK TO HIMSELF

AS WE SAY THEM AS OUR PRAYER TO HIM

OUR FATHER.

THAT IS POWERFUL and That is a secret HE wants us to know and share.

As we Pray for others.

Then, Pig asks

Jesus Cry's ?

In the Bible it is noted he wept.

JESUS WEPT.

That's even more than crying

Pig.

Have you ever wept?

Pig did not respond.

That's deep crying in sorrow..

And Hebrews 5:7-9

Did you know Pig that

GOD LAUGHS TOO.

That made Pig smile as she continued listening.

AS he sees all the wicked plans of the people

And They think they have power and they don't.

Psalms 37:13-36

Then Pig responds.

They don't ?

No, Pig

They don't.

They make problems here for us

On earth.

I love this part:

BUT GOD

makes a way for us

HERE.

We have HIS WORD.

WE HAVE FAITH.

WE HAVE HIS MERCY.

AND

WE HAVE HIS SALVATION .

HE is our MIRACLE.

and

HE makes them DAILY for us.

HE IS OUR DELIVERANCE FROM THE ENEMY AND HIS PLANS.

HE gives us New Blessings

Every Morning.

Keep looking Pig and you will find them.

I will keep looking.

Pig said.

I responded.

That's why we look to JESUS To help us

DO WHAT HE SAYS IN HIS WORD

TO PRAY

TO ORDER OUR STEPS.

ORDER OUR THOUGHTS.

To help us to do what's right.

TO PRAY.

Before we make our decisions,

To know

To go to the left or to go right or straight or just wait.

HE IS ALL KNOWING.

We need to be still

And wait for the answer before moving forward.

ALL KNOWING?

and friends and neighbors and those

Help me to be encouraging.

share your love and kindness to them.

Forgive us for the things that make you sad

And help me and those praying with us to be your hand extended as you give us the stuff

We need to help people and animals.

It's funny most don't realize how special they are.

But you are Pig and GOD LOVES YOU JUST THE WAY YOU ARE.

GOD did that.

GOD also made a way for me to see you

To take away our SINS

and THE SINS OF THE WORLD.

Together we have been telling stories to others about the GREAT LOVE of GOD.

How many years has that been?

Almost 40 years Pig.

We have entertained our family's and friends and neighbors and co-workers.

They have joined our pretend presentation with fun and laughter WITH YOU.

BUT with THE TRUTH OF GOD

TO

BRING THEM CLOSER TO THE UNDERSTANDING OF WHO GOD IS.

How much each of us are loved and forgiven

Through JESUS.

The SON OF THE LIVING GOD.

This has been a fun journey Pig.

So just then, Pig responded .

So I guess I am loved just the way

I am?

Yes Pig.

We both smiled.

And then we both decided to take a nap.

And you know why?

Because

It's LABOR DAY.

A REST Holiday.
